- Answers can be in the form of one word
answers, sentences, drawings, calculations or sketches with supported notes
- They will test your knowledge and
understanding through questions on designing and making
- Paper times- Higher paper 1 hour 15
mins, Foundation 1 hour
- Papers 1&3 will target grade C-G
- Papers 2&4 will target A*-D
- Each paper will have 5 questions with
total of 50 marks
- The questions will have 10 marks per
question/grade

- 1st question in higher paper ( 4th in
foundation) is a question on Industrial processes/Cad. This question is

- Function- describes the job it does
- Evaluate- write from both points of
view
- Specification- bullet points are
useful, use exact specific language
- Discuss- give reasoned points
- Explain- look at number of points
awarded and use as guide for how much to write
- Analyse- Explain how information can
be used don't just describe information

- Don't write the question in your

and design
- Look at number of marks available and
write enough information
- Don't repeat the same reason/example
