A questionnaire is a useful tool for investigating peoples opinions. They can give you clear information, which you can use to design from. They will also help you identify suitable products that meet your target group.

If you were designing a product for a teenage bedroom here is some example questions you could ask:

1-Are you male/female

2- Please give your age…………

3-Do you have your own bedroom? Yes no

4-If no, is the person you share with older or younger?

5-How much time do you spend in the bedroom when you are not sleeping?

Less than 1 hour per day
1-3 hours
4-5 hours

6- How important is a comfortable and interesting bedroom? Very quite not important

7- do you have any of the following in your bedroom?

Results of questionnaire

Once you have given the questionnaire to a number of people you are left with results, which you should analyse. The results will give you a clear overview and identify an exact age group and what they want. Use pie charts/graphs to show clearly what you have found out
