Interlining
Interlinings is an extra lair of material that is placed between the lining and outer material. This type of lining is mainly used in fashion. This gives body, depth and shape to the product. example of this is on a shirt collar where the collar stands up. this is due to an extra lair of fabric inside the collar pattern.
Structural components
These alter the shape and fit of a product. Components such as Shoulder pads, Bondaweb, elastic tape, boning and bias binding can be added to a product.
Decorative components
You choose these to compliment the design and material and can be functional. Embroidery, beads and sequins, fringing and piping are all ways of decorating fabrics with components.
