Production systems are the way in which a textile product is made. The type of system that is used depends on the following information:

• What the product type is

• the number required to be made

• the selling price

• complexity of the design featured

The different types are:

• Individual

• Job production

• Mass production

• Volume production

• Batch production

Each production type has advantages and disadvantages to its use so it is important for the workers to choose the correct one before they begin making, to ensure the company does not loose out financially.
