To ensure a product lasts you need to care for them. All products will eventually fade, soil and stain so it is important to the consumer to try and make their product last as long as it can, especially when they have paid a lot of money.

 All manufactured textile items have to have a label stating such information by law (Indication of Fibre Content Regulation 1973).

You will find a label in almost every Textiles product you buy. They may give information such as:  

• The fibres they are made from
• Aftercare instructions for cleaning         
• Symbols for cleaning
• Sizes
• Company logo/name
• Where it is made
• Any special requirements recommended
