Text Box: This is a 2 year GCSE which will include projects and assignments that show you have covered all 4 assessment Objectives. These will be clearly identified shortly.   The course is split into 2 areas for assessment: Unit 1: Portfolio of work which is marked out of 80 and carries 60% of your final mark Unit 2: Externally set task. This is also marked out of 80 and carries 40% of your final mark   A project will be an artistic journey, taking an idea from a starting point to a realised outcome. You will be drawing, taking photos, making notes, creating samples as well as some kind of realised outcome.   Unit 1– Portfolio This is the coursework part of your GCSE. Most of this work will be produced during class time under guidance of the teacher and there is no restriction on the scale or quantity.   Unit 2– The Externally set task This is the examination section. You will receive a question paper  with alternative starting points.
